April in Paris

Amazing the security which has been introduced to Gare Nord, the train station we came in on, with luggage scanners now on the platforms and looked like they were scanning outgoing travellers on the fast trains. Also soldiers patrolling the Tuillerie gardens and Louvre with their fingers on the triggers of their automatics.

We wandered down the edge of the Seine from Hotel de Ville past the Louvre and Tuillerie gardens. The avenues and buildings are amazing with lots of people out enjoying the sun and the sights.
